About the role
As a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for safety inspections, project planning, employee training, and other safety and health services.
What your day-to-day will look like
• Provide onsite safety support to key clients and projects. Partner with project teams to prepare and execute effective site safety plans.
• Ensure regular inspections are completed at job sites as well as on machinery and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards.
• Conduct training sessions, monitor compliance, investigate incidents, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Communicate guidelines to employees, report on health and safety issues, and, in partnership with others, develop relevant policies to maintain a safe workplace.
What we’re looking for
• A bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health or related industry experience and 5+ years of safety management experience.
• OSHA 500 training certification preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Understanding of safety in a construction environment.
• Strong work ethic and team building skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience delivering presentations and conducting training sessions for diverse audiences.
• Working knowledge of MS Office suite and other industry related programs.
